The referrals view reveals the web sites that your audience is using to find you. You can also drill down on each domain that has traffic represented and also view the clicks per path.

This data is derived via the referrer header. Most referrers are striped out these days due to constantly changing privacy enhancements in browsers which means the majority of requests will not contain referrer information and will be shown as (no referrer). Our URL redirect service can only display data if we have been sent the referrer.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind while reading this data:

  • HTTPS upgraded or downgraded requests will not contain referrer information (e.g. HTTP to HTTPS, or HTTPS to HTTP).
